Architects and Engineers Specifications
The loudspeaker shall be a self contained low frequency device. The frequency response shall be 40Hz to 200Hz ±6dB; the vertical and horizontal polar coverage shall be ±2dB over 360°. The loudspeaker shall have a minimum sensitivity of 99dB 1W/1m, a continuous power handling capability of 800 Watts RMS, and a rated impedance of 4 ohms. The loudspeaker driver complement shall be two 18 inch bass units. The drivers shall be mounted in a spherical enclosure made of fiberglass. Three eyebolts shall be supplied to facilitate hanging. All hardware shall be stainless or plated steel. The enclosure color shall be ordered in advance, otherwise white shall be supplied. The loudspeaker shall be comprised of a 32 inch (813 mm) diameter sphere with two 18 in. drivers mounted on opposing sides. The complete loudspeaker shall be 32 inches (813 mm) in overall height and weigh 82lbs. (37.2kg). The loudspeaker shall be the Soundsphere Model Q-SB2.
