Replacement Speakers
These tables provide information on spare part ordering codes. GM denotes a recone kit or a diaphragm. If "GM" is not present on the part's code, it denotes a complete transducer.
Note that part codes may include the name of a component other than the one used. E.g., a replacement diaphragm for a K-10 driver is a "GM K-8".
General Notes : Indicated replacement assemblies for discontinued products are the closest approximation to the originals using present day replacements.
Recone Kits : Carefully detach the black plastic piece that protects the voice coil from deformation before using the recone kits. Kits are supplied with glue and coil centering aids. Foam surrounds from older models have been replaced with more durable rubber versions.
High Frequency Diaphragms : Assemblies are all self-centering; align the centering pins on the compression driver with the centering holes; handle and position the diaphragms carefully so as not to damage the coil formers.
