This high efficiency bass-reflex subwoofer system uses dual 18G low frequency transducers with 4 in. EFW voice coils. The exceptional power handling capacity and efficiency provide high sound pressure levels of powerful bass. Two hand locations facilitate handling. The cabinet design permits ground stacking or flying from the 12 M10 rigging points.

This passive sub-woofer system comprises two 18 inch woofers with a four inch voice coil. It features an injection molded aluminum chassis.

A typical production unit has the following specifications:

Average (RMS) power handling (based on a two-hour test using a 6 dB crest factor pink noise signal band-limited according to IEC standards) is rated at 1400 W. On-axis (IEC) frequency range is 27 Hz to 160 kHz (-10 dB). On-axis sensitivity (1W / 1m) is 101 dB SPL. Nominal impedance is 4 ohms.

The subwoofer unit is mounted in direct radiation configuration inside a bass-reflex trapezoidal cabinet using 18mm Birch plywood. The unit is painted with catalyzed polyurethane paint and finished with an Isoflex coating. The front is protected by a steel grille, coated with a corrosion-resistant polyamide film. The system includes 12 M10 rigging points situated on the top, underneath and on either side of the enclosure. Two handles and two rear transportation wheels are also provided.

The system shall be a D.A.S. SUB-218G system.
