The H-1500 incorporates a high output energy design based on Class "H" intelligent power processing and offers a 2 ohm load capability. The reduced AC draw and heat, variable speed fans and an optimized heat evacuation design offer greater output and reliability. An advanced protection management system including AC circuit breaker, overload, short circuit, thermal, load DC fault protection, distortion control with clip limiting, and on/off muting. The power amplifier shall operate from 50-60 Hz power. The amplifier shall utilise variable speed back-to-front forced-air cooling. The amplifier shall contain two independent channels, with protection systems. Each channel shall provide independent short-circuit and low impedance protection. Each channel shall monitor temperature and shall open the output relay if necessary. Each channel shall have turn-on delay. Each channel shall have DC-protection. Each channel shall have input limiting. Each channel shall have a clip, an idle, and a signal presence LED. Each channel shall provide an XLR and a 1/4 in. input. Inputs shall be electronically balanced, with minimum impedance of 20 Kohms. The outputs shall use binding posts and 4-pin Speakon. EIA power output shall be 750W per channel into 2 ohms, 450W per channel into 4 ohms and 280W into 8 ohms at 1 kHz with less than 1% THD.

The amplifier shall be no taller than two standard rack units, and standard 19 in. in width. Weight shall not exceed 14 kg (31lb). The amplifier’s chassis shall be at least 2 mm (0.08 in) thick.

The power amplifier shall be a D.A.S. H-1500.
