The 2-way passive full range loudspeaker shall incorporate an 8 inch cone low frequency transducer and a 1 inch soft dome high frequency unit. The low frequency voice coil shall be 1.5 inches in diameter.

The system specifications of a typical production unit shall be as follows: Average (RMS) power handling (based on a two hour test using an IEC band-limited 6 dB crest factor pink noise signal) shall be 100W. IEC on-axis frequency range shall be of 55 Hz to 22 kHz. On-axis sensitivity (1W / 1m) shall be 91 dB SPL. Coverage angles shall be 145 degrees horizontal and 135 degrees vertical (average of 1/3rd octave bands from 500 to 8 kHz). Nominal impedance shall be 8 ohms. The system shall incorporate a 60W multi-tap isolation input transformer with switch positions for power settings ranging from at least 3.7W to 60W in 3 dB steps for 70 or 100V lines.

The system’s low frequency driver shall be mounted as direct radiator into a bass-reflex cabinet constructed of polypropylene. Colour for the "W" version shall be white, otherwise colour shall be black. The front of the system shall be covered with a perforated steel grille, sealed against corrosion using a polyamide powder coat finish.

The system shall be a D.A.S. Factor 8T/8TW.
