The Factor-12 is a high-fidelity full-range system using a 12” bass loudspeaker with a 2” voice coil. The high frequency range is covered by the M-3 compression driver which incorporates a 2” titanium diaphragm with a 1” throat permitting high frequency reproduction to 17 KHz. Available in an outddor IP-54 version. |

The 2-way passive full range loudspeaker shall incorporate a 12 inch cone low frequency transducer and a 1 inch throat compression driver mounted to a constant directivity horn. The frame of the low frequency speaker shall be manufactured of die-cast aluminium. The low frequency voice coil shall be 2 inches in diameter. The high frequency voice coil shall be 1.75 inches in diameter and the diaphragm shall be constructed of titanium.
The system specifications of a typical production unit shall be as follows: Average (RMS) power handling (based on a two hour test using an IEC band-limited 6 dB crest factor pink noise signal) shall be 200W. IEC on-axis frequency range shall be of 45 Hz to 17 kHz. On-axis sensitivity (1W / 1m) shall be 94 dB SPL. Coverage angles shall be 85 degrees horizontal and 80 degrees vertical (average of 1/3rd octave bands from 500 to 8 kHz). Nominal impedance shall be 8 ohms.
The system’s low frequency driver shall be mounted as direct radiator into a bass-reflex cabinet constructed of polypropylene. Colour for the "W" version shall be white, otherwise colour shall be black. The front of the system shall be covered with two perforated steel grilles, sealed against corrosion using a polyamide powder coat finish. A hand location shall be provided.
The system shall be a D.A.S. Factor 12/12W.
