The 2-way full range powered loudspeaker shall incorporate a 15 inch cone low frequency transducer and a 1 inch throat compression driver mounted to a constant directivity horn. The frame of the low frequency speaker shall be manufactured of die-cast aluminium. The low frequency voice coil shall be 3 inches in diameter. The high frequency voice coil shall be 1.75 inches in diameter and the diaphragm shall be constructed of titanium.
The system specifications of a typical production unit shall be as follows: On-axis frequency range shall be of 60 Hz to 15 kHz. Coverage angles shall be 90 degrees horizontal and 70 degrees vertical (average of 1/3rd octave bands from 500 to 8 kHz).
Power output for the low frequency amplifier shall be 150 WRMS. Power output for the high frequency amplifier shall be 50 WRMS. A built-in two-channel mixer comprising a microphone and a line input shall be provided. XLR and 1/4 inch jacks shall be used for the microphone and line inputs respectively. Level controls shall be provided for each channel, as well as a main level control. An insert jack and a buffered line output shall be provided.
The system’s low frequency driver shall be mounted as direct radiator into a bass-reflex cabinet constructed of polypropylene. Colour for the "W" version shall be white, otherwise colour shall be black. The low frequency speaker shall be covered with a perforated steel grille, sealed against corrosion using a polyamide powder coat finish. A hand location shall be provided.
The system shall be a D.A.S. DS-15A/15AW.
