The 2-way full range powered loudspeaker shall incorporate a 12 inch cone low frequency transducer and a 1 inch throat compression driver mounted to a constant directivity horn. The frame of the low frequency speaker shall be manufactured of die-cast aluminium. The low frequency voice coil shall be 3 inches in diameter. The high frequency voice coil shall be 1.75 inches in diameter and the diaphragm shall be constructed of titanium. The magnet for the low frequencies shall be Neodymium.
The system specifications of a typical production unit shall be as follows: On-axis frequency range shall be of 50 Hz to 15 kHz. Coverage angles shall be 100 degrees horizontal and 65 degrees vertical (average of 1/3rd octave bands from 500 to 8 kHz).
The system shall feature a class-D amplifier for the low frequencies and a class-AB amplifier for high frequencies. Nominal power output for the low frequency amplifier shall be 300 WRMS. Nominal power output for the high frequency amplifier shall be 100 WRMS. The amplifiers shall contain protection systems. The built-in active 2-way equalised crossover shall provide 24 dB/octave slopes. The input shall be electronically balanced on an XLR connector, and an output XLR loop through connector shall also be provided. Input shall be switchable between line and microphone. A switchable high-pass filter shall also be provided. AC connection shall be through a detachable IEC cable. Display LEDs shall be provided.
The system’s low frequency driver shall be mounted as direct radiator into a bass-reflex cabinet constructed of polypropylene. The low frequency speaker shall be covered with a perforated steel grille, sealed against corrosion using a polyamide powder coat finish. One bar handle shall be provided. Nine 8M rigging points shall be provided.
The system shall be a D.A.S. DR-112A. |
