The CA-215 is an arrayable subwoofer unit for use with external amplification.

Two 15GN loudspeakers are front-loaded in a bass-reflex configuration. The rectangular enclosure incorporates all the rigging hardware and fittings needed to couple to other CA-215 or CA-28 units. Four rear casters and four steel reinforced bar handles facilitate loading and unloading.

The 15GN speaker incorporate 4 in. (100 mm) edge-wound flat wire (EFW) voice coils and lightweight neodymium magnet assemblies maximizing the dynamic response for a deep, precise bass. The unique Total Air Flux (T.A.F.) cooling scheme efficiently evacuates voice coil heat providing a high power handling capability.

Aero is Back in Miami
For the ninth year running, the legendary Ultra Music Festival was held in Miami. Despite the heavy rain during the event, the powered Aero line array performed effortlessly on all four stages where the systems were installed as the PA system. The two-day Ultra 2007 was held at the Bicentennial Park in downtown Miami. The festival, which ran alongside the Miami Winter Music Conference, featured live acts including The Cure, Shiny Toy Guns, Miss Kittin, Brazilian Girls and Rabbit In The Moon + DJ’s Fat Boy Slim, Carl Cox and Kruder & Dorfmeisterl sabado, among others.  Read More...

The bass system shall incorporate two 15 inch cone low frequency transducers. The frame of the low frequency speaker shall be manufactured of die-cast aluminium. The low frequency voice coil shall be 4 inches in diameter. All transducers shall use Neodymium magnets.

The system specifications of a typical production unit shall be as follows: RMS (average) power handling shall be 1200W. Usable frequency range shall be of 35 Hz to 300 Hz. On-axis sensitivity (1W / 1m) shall be 99 dB SPL. Nominal impedance shall be 4 ohms.

The system’s low frequency driver shall be mounted as direct radiator into a bass-reflex cabinet constructed of Wisa(R) plywood. It shall be finished with hardwearing catalyzed polyurethane paint. Four bar handles shall be provided. The front of the system shall be protected with a perforated steel grille, sealed against corrosion using a polyamide powder coat finish, and covered with acoustically transparent fabric. The system has built-in rigging hardware for hanging into line array format.

The system shall be a D.A.S. CA-215.
